Miss Europe, The Queen of Beauty, Champion of Spires and Decorated with Textures and Swirls-Beautiful Prague!

Lately I've visited Prague.
Unfortunally, some of the days was accompanied by a sudden heat wave, which was tiring and exhausting, especially to the walking tourists....

The most disappointing part was to discover that when you want to cool off a bit in a cafe, a resturant or a shop, there is no air condioning :(((( Wow! No where to escape! Luckly our hotel was someplace central and accessiable, with excellent air conditioning, so we soon learned to run back to it wheneve we needed to cool off.

Even under the burning sun, the constant dampness on our skin, the sunscreen and the annoying carrige of water bottles on our backs, it was easy to see the capital of the Czech Republic in its full glory.

Pictures from the fair at the square -it was happy surprise for me to  stumble upon this small wonderful fair on frieday morning. It's just the way I like it: Handmade works, style, demonstrations, and colors! Iimmideitly purchased those wonderfull brooches made from recycled paper, and at home I found the creator in this link:

Who ever saw the movie "The Best Offer" (highly recommended), must remember  one of the last scences in the town's squere with the beautiful, acient astronimic watch appeering on the left picture
השעון האסטרונומי,

The dancing house of Frank Owen Gehry and the view you can see from the roof. Note the quotation by the talanted architect (on the left picture)

פראג,הבית הרוקד,פרנק גרי,

A short trip to Plzen (one hour ride on the bus from Prague), a city with a central station that stopped working around the sixstees :)) A totally vintage station -and it doesn't even know it! :))) The shops, the signs with the ancient writing... :)

And-that's right! Here is the home of the famous Plzen Beer (as well as Sakuda Cars, which gone through a lot of changes since the fall of the communism, and survived ) and even on this forgotten corner, next to the central station, I've found beautiful, colorful houses, and a vintage hotel... One of many others....

.

The big synagogue in Plzen :

Next week, a post about a wonderful day in- Jablonec nad Nisou

The city of jewls, beads and glass, since the 17th century

Including photos from the amazing tour at the factroy of glass beads, which works in the traditional way

I was standing at  the big Watzalav Plaza, in front of Jan Palach, and remembered the black and white pictures of my childhood, when the soviets invaded the large plaza with their tanks, and brought the end of Prauge's spring...and still  this song
... by Shalom Hanoch, sang by Aric Eienstein) played in my head )

Soon.!... the "Happy Homes" workshop details! the place, cost, and when:)
See you next post!

I'm on T.V. +The Update You Were All Waiting For+Polymer Hint

Like many have said before me-it was not simple :)) Even now, as I'm writing, my heart beats faster... It all started from a suprising phone call from the production of "Local Crafts" (An Israeli morning show). At first I hesitated about going, (???!!!) but fast enough it turned into exicitment.
Not to long after that, the questions started-
What products should I bring? The variaty, as you well know is huge.
What to wear? What about my hair? What kind of shoes should I wear and----Am I fat? ,Will I look fat?  Hhahahahaha

Oh, the questions went on without end.

On the great day I woke up and drove to" Kiryat Shmona"(small city on the north), with my husband (both a driver and an escort). I stopped for coffe in the beautiful Rosh Pina and arrived in time to the studio, ready and expecting, and yet calm.

The interview went by with a huge excietment from me-just a few minuts and oops, it was gone ... :) I'm not really sure what went down in there :) But there were me, a magnificent display of my work+ a huge hint about the next tutorial, which I am working on the last few months.
After wednsday ,they will upload  the show on youtube, so  you can see it too.

Here are some of the products I took with me to the show:

חימר פולימרי,חרוזים,פימו,הילה בושרי,hillovely,מילפיורי,

Brooches, in my technique of faux ceramic

workshopwith Jana Roberts Benzon

Last week I was honored to be part of two workshop taught by the amazing and talented american artist:  Jana roberts benzon

It is not Jana's first visit in Israel-she's been to the country 3 or 4 times (I can't remember exactly...) and I had the pleasure of taking part in all the workshop she made. (She was not the first to come to Isreal, for I had the pleasure to study with more talented wonderful artists and I am so happy to always participate, study, improove and grow..!)

For me, a workshop is not only an opertunity to study, it's also a chance to meet other colleauges and have lots of smiles, jokes, exchanging intresting information and getting news... May we have many more!

Studying, taking pictures, concentrating but mostly enjoying our time!!!

Some didn't even catched a break.... :)))

A chance to see the new "Slicer" in action... A new succesful, useful tool...

Personally, I especially enjoyed the second workshop-the stone beads workshop. In my opinion the most memorable characteristic of this workshop was getting out of  the box: This original way of thought Jana has, which became her identifing mark. Now she's done it again...

In the next picture , those are Jana's special "stones beads". See? they don't have no begining and no end...

Those are mine. I stil have a lot to learn... My hand is still hesitant, without confidence. The first one on the upper right was done with Jana's incredible hands... Yes yes, it's the truth.. I still need some help when I'm studing something new and different!

I'll take this opertunity to say thank you to Yonat for having us in her wonderful studio, and of course another thank  to pinky, who brought Jana to Israel! and thank you Jana  !!!

A Tutorial for Passover and an Apologies

Wine tags like you've never seen before... Special, colorful, and handmade by you! Definitely useful even after the holidays!

Here's an idea: you can use it to tag oil bottles, too

Fit for a coockie jar, jam jar, or any other kind of goodies

After the holiday you just hang it on your wall or a hanging hook

There is such a variety!

It also works as a decoration to any plant

Don't worry :)
There is a tutorial of course!

There is also a small stock of cutters in my store. In order to buy one or more, press here: Cutters to buy

The AMAZING stamps were bought here: Press here to buy the stamps I've used

I own you an apology:

Lately I published the first transfer tutorial, and I was suprised from the great response both in Israel and the world: Warm reactions, encourgement and an amazing number of purchases of transfer papers.

I was not prepared for this! The stock went empty under an hour! Tommorow morning I got new stock and it got emptied as well ! Wow !

So unfortunally, I am currently publishing a tutorial without a stock to sell you. The only ones who can make it and create before the holidays are the ones who got to purchase the papers :)

Don't fear! Soon enough the stock will renew!

However, crafting is crafting and we enjoy it all days of the years, and I hope there will be a lot of holidays and other merry occasions!

The tutorial is here for you, always :)....

Hope to update real soon about more stock coming back to my store.

Don't forget my special order: buy the "carniva lbeads" tutorial and get free  round cutter set:
