short visit in the north.

I visited the day before yesterday in Safed.
Weather conditions did not allow me to get good pictures, it was cold, rainy . But the special charm of Safed, only strengthened in the  cold weather ...

An alley in the old town, in the rain

On the horizon, it's not smoke, these are  clouds

Within the old town, and many art galleries,I found a talented artist,  Gonen Halevi  uses, curly decoration, colors and  textures, words and sentences, all of them together  in a wonderful harmony

Note the special small jar, for the water

On the way back home, we  visited in Haifa-  Wadi NisNas. Here in Israel, only in a few cities, you can see and enjoy the holiday chrisamsa atmosphere, and it was so exciting.

I'm not a professional photographer, and it was  very hard  to take pictureswith all the  lights around
.
in the German colony at Ben Gurion street so I so here are pictures of talented photographer Zeev
Yes, it's really looks like this, there

Make Trendy Letters, and signs with "Antique Chic"- a New Tutorial!

And yet, I'm excited...
Still we are in a complicated reality, in the world's weirdest country, but I've found something to be excited about, something to love: a new tutorial

Why did it took so long this time? The answer is unknown :) It's never easy to find an idea, to develop it, to nerture it, to improve it, to make it accsiable and doable, to film, to edit, to write, to translate, to pass it on to Aviva (=a friend) for a deep and serious proofreading, to hackle technical difficulties, to fix, to film again, to give up, to stop, to think about quitting... To get back to business, to progress, to make an effort... Yes, this is what it's like to write a tutorial, at least for me. This time, I had to do all of this twice...
Nevertheless, I don't give up, and a new tutorial was born!
What's in it?
Over 48 minutes  video+and instruction notebook (pdf) with literall explantion of all the stages=two fun, colorful, techniques that open unlimited possibilities

Bonus: how to decorate your letters, with swirls and drawing in the kitchy and sweet "Shabby Chic" style,
+7 sign patterns (just print it and it's ready to use)

Diffuclty level: Basic. (and as always, I'm here for every question, request, or misunderstanding. Use mail to contact me.)

Enjoy!

Great 2 varnishes to your polymer clay neads and requirements, just perfect!

I haven't forgotten, I promised you  a post about the  beads city Jablonec nad Nisou in  Prague. The post is ready- in Hebtew, But not in English .
Why?
I have a deal with my daughter, she translates  for you,  every long  post,  from Hebrew to English.
   But
My daughter is a soldier ( According to the Defense Service Law, the enlistment to the Israeli Defense Forces is mandatory for all Israeli citizens who have turned 18) and in the last month, she culdn't find a moment for the translet job. She is very busy because of the terrible  war with the "Hamas".
No, she is not  staying in the war zone, but  because of the war, she's  very busy or very tired....
Our mood is not so good.  I live near Tel Aviv, and we are suffering from the  missiles, less  then other areas) but still, nothing  is easy here....in our country

But meanwhile,  I will try to focus on those issues that  easier to understand :

I have for you a great recommendation for two great varnishes that I discovered recently.
I made a short video for you (+ great tip in the end of the video). Go and get them....

And more from my working table in the last days, an order for a customer, using my magic transfer paper and the Darwi varnish ( 2-3 layers )

Miss Europe, The Queen of Beauty, Champion of Spires and Decorated with Textures and Swirls-Beautiful Prague!

Lately I've visited Prague.
Unfortunally, some of the days was accompanied by a sudden heat wave, which was tiring and exhausting, especially to the walking tourists....

The most disappointing part was to discover that when you want to cool off a bit in a cafe, a resturant or a shop, there is no air condioning :(((( Wow! No where to escape! Luckly our hotel was someplace central and accessiable, with excellent air conditioning, so we soon learned to run back to it wheneve we needed to cool off.

Even under the burning sun, the constant dampness on our skin, the sunscreen and the annoying carrige of water bottles on our backs, it was easy to see the capital of the Czech Republic in its full glory.

Pictures from the fair at the square -it was happy surprise for me to  stumble upon this small wonderful fair on frieday morning. It's just the way I like it: Handmade works, style, demonstrations, and colors! Iimmideitly purchased those wonderfull brooches made from recycled paper, and at home I found the creator in this link:
www.fler.cz/babibobik
פראג,שוק, עבודות יד,

Details form the classic sites and one unique souvenir shop.
ביקטר בפראג

Who ever saw the movie "The Best Offer" (highly recommended), must remember  one of the last scences in the town's squere with the beautiful, acient astronimic watch appeering on the left picture
השעון האסטרונומי,

The dancing house of Frank Owen Gehry and the view you can see from the roof. Note the quotation by the talanted architect (on the left picture)

פראג,הבית הרוקד,פרנק גרי,

A short trip to Plzen (one hour ride on the bus from Prague), a city with a central station that stopped working around the sixstees :)) A totally vintage station -and it doesn't even know it! :))) The shops, the signs with the ancient writing... :)

And-that's right! Here is the home of the famous Plzen Beer (as well as Sakuda Cars, which gone through a lot of changes since the fall of the communism, and survived ) and even on this forgotten corner, next to the central station, I've found beautiful, colorful houses, and a vintage hotel... One of many others....

.

The big synagogue in Plzen :

Next week, a post about a wonderful day in- Jablonec nad Nisou

The city of jewls, beads and glass, since the 17th century

Including photos from the amazing tour at the factroy of glass beads, which works in the traditional way

I was standing at  the big Watzalav Plaza, in front of Jan Palach, and remembered the black and white pictures of my childhood, when the soviets invaded the large plaza with their tanks, and brought the end of Prauge's spring...and still  this song
... by Shalom Hanoch, sang by Aric Eienstein) played in my head )

Soon.!... the "Happy Homes" workshop details! the place, cost, and when:)
See you next post!
